33 weeks and .... CANKLES.

Yep. It has happened. They told me it would, but I didn't believe it. My legs, arms, nose, cheeks, fingers, and toes have filled with water. I gained almost ten pounds this week... and I can tell you that it wasn't from eating since I've resumed my old habit of giving food back to the earth and hating most food.
I took this picture Friday (4 days ago) when I *thought* I had swollen feet and legs.
I took this tonight. Whaaa...

  1. Oh dear, Laura. I'm sure you're not counting down the days or anything. You should definitely put your feet up and relax!

  2. I'm so sorry! I only swelled like that with my last one, but expect to do so again with this one, sigh. Seriously, put your feet up as much as you can, and at least February is a short month to help the time feel like it's going faster!

  3. Oh boy, that looks just like my leg when I was pregnant! Just do me a favor and make sure they are checking you for toxima. It's probably just normal water retention, but be careful.

P.S. Don't worry, it goes away after the baby comes out. Your will see your old ankles and feet again someday.

  4. Oh my my my. I'm so sorry. My feel looked just like that with Eli. Like everyone said, when you get the chance, keep them elevated. Also, you can start wearing flip flops soon. You're going to really like that. You're getting very close!

  5. Oh dear! You need glitter toes before you pop that baby out!

  6. Lance, I totally agree. Unfortunately, I can't touch my toes, and my personal glitter specialist lives across the country.

Kim, I stopped counting down the days and have accepted the fact that I will be pregnant forever and ever.

  7. Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink.
Your baby will be cute with hair,
but growing her sure doth stink.
